Fundraising Association Bylaws
Are your Fundraising Association (FRA) bylaws outdated or confusing? Do you have questions about why your bylaws are worded a certain way? Join us to learn about association membership, decision making, conflict resolution, terms of office, legal liability, dissolution, and much more.
A seasoned ASCA Instructor will walk you through our Bylaws template, clause by clause, to help you understand why wording is so important. It is important for Board members to understand, and govern/operate according to, their bylaws. Our template was created with input from Service Alberta and AGLC to ensure requirements are met. By the end of this workshop, you will have a sound understanding of Bylaws and what may need to be amended in your own governing document.

Fundraising Association Financial Practices
General ledger, spreadsheets, spending request form….is your Fundraising Association (FRA) using best practices to handle its funds? Fundraising Associations are separate, legal entities with liabilities to consider and distinct legislation and requirements to follow. The Board members, especially the Treasurer, must ensure that they are following proven financial practices, that are in the best interest of the association, to minimize risk.
This workshop focuses on identifying financial risks, managing risk, basic financial practices, and how to make spending decisions appropriately. Numerous templates will be shared to help you set up your Fundraising Association for continued success in the school community.
