GivingTuesday is the world’s largest movement to inspire acts of kindness and generosity. Co-founded in Canada by CanadaHelps in 2013, millions now celebrate it annually!
This year, on Tuesday, December 3rd, Canada Helps is excited to partner with the Western Financial Group Communities Foundation to make GivingTuesday more impactful than ever.
As passionate community champions and trusted insurance experts, Western Financial Group is providing $100,000 through their Western Communities Foundation to support Canadian charities in honour of this special occasion.
Ten charities will receive a $10,000 donation on GivingTuesday, but they need your nomination for the chance to win!
Here’s how you can make a difference without spending a dime:
Share Your Love
From November 14 until November 27, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST, visit Western Financial Group’s Facebook page and post a heartfelt story about the impact of your favourite Canadian charity to nominate them. Use the hashtags #100kForGivingTuesday and #GivingTuesdayCA when you nominate. Remember to tag the charity you nominate to let them know they have a shot at receiving a $10,000 donation!
Spread the Buzz
Rally your friends, family, and everyone you know to join in. The more nominations, the better!
Create a Lasting Impression (Optional)
Post a short video about your nomination on your Facebook feed using the hashtags #100kForGivingTuesday and #GivingTuesdayCA, and tag your favourite charity.(#abschoolcouncil for ASCA!)
Your video could be featured in the Canada Helps December 3rd livestream.
